Q (1): Is the application for Nursery (K1) and Pre-Nursery (PN) class made on a first-come-first-served basis?
A: Applications are not considered on a first come first serve basis. Interviews will be arranged for parents who have submitted the online application for applicants of an eligible age within the application period for the 2020-2021 academic year.
Q (2): My child was born in September 2018, can I apply for my child in advance?
A: For children who were born on the 1st of September 2018 or after, please visit our website in September 2020 for admission information for the 2021-2022 academic year.
Q (3): If my child is born between September 2017 and December 2017, can I apply for both AY2020-2021 Nursery (K1) and Pre-Nursery (PN) class?
A: We accept applications from children born between September 2017 and December 2017 for both AY2020-2021 Nursery and Pre-Nursery class. However, the school will only accept applicants into 1 program/class. A HK$40 application fee will be charged for each application made.
Q (4): We will be moving to Hong Kong soon and would like to apply to the Nursery class/ Pre-Nursery class for the 2020-2021 academic year. We are applying from regions outside H.K and will not be able to attend the interview day, what should we do?
A: For applicants from regions outside H.K. and who will not be able to attend our interview,
- Please list in the field “Parent’s Remarks” of the online application form that the applicant is an overseas applicant and is not available to attend the interview.
- Parents need to share a video clip (no more than 10 minutes) featuring the daily life of the applicant in .mov, .mp4 or .wmv format, quoting the applicant’s name and application number, with us (firstname.lastname@example.org) by the related interview day. To protect applicant’s privacy, only authorized staff of our school can access the video clip. Meanwhile, we strongly recommend you to take necessary actions to protect your child’s privacy in the web.

Q (5): How do I know if the school has received my online application form?
A: When parents have completed the online application procedure, a confirmation letter with an application number will be displayed. This means parents have submitted the application form. Please print or save the confirmation letter for your own record.
Q (6): How are confirmation letters issued?
A: Upon completion of the online application procedure, a confirmation letter will be displayed on the computer screen. The application system will also send a confirmation letter to the email address(es) provided by parents on the online application form on the same day. Please make sure the email address(es) entered on the application form is correct. Please print or save the confirmation letter for your own record.
Q (7): The computer screen indicates that my application has been submitted, and I have obtained the application number. However, I did not receive the confirmation letter via email? What should I do?
A: This may be due to the following reasons:
(1) Your email system has wrongly categorized the confirmation letter email as spam mail and has sent it to the spam email folder.
Please check the email spam folder and ensure that the email address “email@example.com” has been added to your safety email list.
(2) Technical problem in the email servers.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org and quote the applicant’s name, Date of Birth, birth certificate registration number and application number. We will confirm with parents whether we have received your application and if the email address(es) provided on the application form is correct.
(3) Incorrectly entered your email address on the application form.
(4) Other technical problem.
Q(8): I have lost the information on the confirmation letter, what should I do?
A: Please email email@example.com quoting the applicant’s name, Date of Birth, birth certificate registration number. We will confirm receipt via email.
Q (9): I have already submitted the online application form but I would like to amend the information on the form, how should I notify the school?
A: For any queries or revision of application information, please email firstname.lastname@example.org quoting the applicant’s name, Date of Birth, birth certificate registration number and application number. We will confirm your changes via email once we have received and made the amendments on our record.
Q (10): Are there any changes to the enrollment of students for Victoria Shanghai Academy?
A: Causeway Bay campus and other campuses (namely Harbour Heights, Upper, Middle and Lower Kornhill, South Horizons, Belcher, Homantin, Harbour Green) will continue to enjoy priority admission to Victoria Shanghai Academy, subject to students’ interview performance.
