Special Activity Day – Lunar New Year

On 22 January 2020, over 70 parent volunteers joined the Causeway Bay Victoria family to celebrate the Year of the Rat with our children. To add to the festivities, our very own God of Wealth, Principal Sabrina Lee and PTA Chairperson Mrs. Jennifer Wong, handed out temporary tattoo blessings to children and parents.
In the classrooms, students from PN to K3, many dressed in traditional CNY clothing, enthusiastically greeted parents performing the traditional lion dance. After the exciting performance, many children wanted to try the cymbals, drums and carrying the lion head themselves!
CNY themed activities were set up on the rooftop, 3/F hall and the G/F playground for all classes to enjoy. Booths ranging from CNY arts and crafts to other physical activities symbolizing good luck and fortune were very popular. Children loved throwing self-made “mandarins” onto wishing trees and pounding rice cakes. Parents and children all had a great time kickstarting our celebration for Lunar New Year!
