What a big day!  The K1 learning journey sharing session was a day for students to celebrate their learning with their parents.  During the unit of inquiry, the young learners conducted a series of inquiry activities on “How we express ourselves”. They explored how to use stories to express their opinions and feelings. They were very excited to share the process of their learning and the discoveries they made with their parents. They utilized drama, pictures, nursery rhymes as well as other ways to express their creative ideas, while the teachers used various ways to share the children’s achievements with their parents. One way was by using a QR code to let parents watch their child's learning video. From the parents' smiles and children's laughter, you could fully feel the joy of learning and sharing.

Congratulations!  The children from the Pre-Nursery classes completed the sharing session for their very first Learning Journey! During the unit of inquiry, the young learners conducted a series of inquiry activities on “How we organize ourselves”. Through the people and resources they were exposed to, they were led to explore people's different roles in the community. By having role-play and simulation activities, the children were able to understand the work of different people in the community and as a result their respect and appreciation towards others was cultivated. The children confidently shared what they had learned with their parents under the guidance of their teachers. The children have grown in their ability to use different languages to express themselves, which made their parents very proud!

How  the world works?  The children from the K2 Classes conducted an extensive exploration on the central idea of how "People and animals build a variety of structures". First they explored various materials and then studied how humans and animals use those materials to construct in order to meet their needs. From the continuous inquiring as well as trying out different ways of constructing, these young engineers made some amazing discoveries. The children shared these interesting inquiry experiences with their parents through writing, drawing, speaking, and arts and crafts. The children and teachers also designed some questions together for their parents to think about. The children were very eager to share their learning and were excited to share their discoveries with their parents!
