Parent-Child Educational Tour to Fukuoka 2018

For the recent Parent-Child Educational Tour to Fukuoka organised by the PTA between the 4th to the 8th of April 2018, more than 30 students and their families participated. In addition to visiting a local kindergarten, the exchange tour also learned about disaster prevention at the Fukuoka City Disaster Prevention Centre. While visiting the zoo, the children not only got to know more about the different animals, but also the types of food that they eat. For example, lions are carnivorous; elephants are herbivorous; and black bears are omnivorous. Flying kites and picking strawberries were also good opportunities to nurture a close relationship between parents and their children, and it was great to see the children having so much fun with their parents. As 'learning through play' was the main purpose of this tour, the children and their families had a fun and memorable trip.
