Dr Koong’s visit to Teachers College

As an accredited IB World School and Teachers College Reading and Writing Project ‘project’ school, it is our utmost priority to provide an integrated curriculum that encapsulates the best qualities of IB and TCRWP. Hence Dr Koong, our Chief Principal paid a friendly visit to Teachers College in March and met with Ms Lucy Calkins (Founding Director of the TCRWP) and Ms Mary Ehrenworth (Deputy Director of the TCRWP). She also had the chance to see a lot of familiar faces - Natalie Louis, Marie Mounteer and Dani Sturtz, some of the staff developers that came and worked with our teachers here in Hong Kong.
During the meeting, they were able to share ideas to integrate the two programmes and accentuate the benefits of the two. They also discussed ways to help the less fortunate in developing countries. Dr Koong was also able to attend some of the study group discussions with various TC staff developers on one of the days she visited Teachers College.
