K2 Learning Journey “How the World Works”

2026年4月24日

Our K2 “How the World Works” Learning Journey Day was a great success, with children proudly becoming experts as they taught their parents about how people construct materials to improve their lives. Each classroom was filled with unique and imaginative structures, showcasing the children’s creativity and growing understanding of how different materials can be used purposefully. Some classrooms were transformed into mini construction sites, while others showcased creative uses of materials to build miniature furniture. Children also explored fabric design by making aprons, designed glowing mini cities, and even created imaginative leprechaun traps, demonstrating both creativity and problem-solving in their learning. The children confidently guided their parents around the classroom, explaining their inquiry process—from asking questions and planning, to experimenting and refining their ideas—and sharing how they used a variety of technologies to explore, design, and create their projects. It was inspiring to see how clearly they communicated their thinking, while parents were engaged and impressed by the independence and depth of understanding displayed.
