Mother’s Day Baking Workshop

In celebration of Mother's Day, the PTA has organized the Mother’s Day Baking Workshop at the food technology room of Victoria Shanghai Academy for our kids and parents.
Our kids learned how to make a Victoria sandwich cake for their mothers under the demonstration and guidance of our chef. While waiting for the cake to be baked, the kids started to assemble and decorate the cake box with their Mother’s Day messages and drawings. After that, children spread the buttercream and strawberry jam over the sponge cake and topped it with the second sponge cake on top. Then they used their creativity to decorate the top of the cake with strawberries, icing sugar and cake topper.
It was a great bonding event and the families brought home a beautiful and unique cake created by their kids to celebrate Mother's Day!
